Need A Little Rest?

Let's face it, we live to fast. We never slow down to smell the roses. We never take time to relax and when we want to we can't because "we have to much to do". We need to relax and rest but where can we find rest in such a fast world? No one will take a rest.

Matthew 11:28-30 (The Message)

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

Wow! That seems straight forward! So if I'm reading that correctly then all we have to do to rest is go to Jesus. He says, "Come to me." That's all it takes!!! Life can be an emotional crazy thing. We can be burned out on day to day life. The good thing is we can come to Jesus and we can find the rest we need and want. Wow! That is so awesome!

Ways to Find Rest By Coming to Him:
1. PRAY!
When you pray you are reaching a new connection with God. It's very important for any Christian to pray daily. Also you can give Him everything when you pray.
2. READ THAT BIBLE!
When you read your bible you learn more about God. When you learn more about God you can know how to handle certain problems/situations. When you can do that...life is good and you are way more relaxed.
3. Fellowship
God puts certain people in your life for a reason. Maybe it's your pastor or a best friend. Whoever it is...talk to them. Fellowship with them. It helps a lot.
4. BE THANKFUL!
Thank Him for everything. Thank Him that you can find rest in Him. He gives you that for free. He deserves the thanks for all that He does for us.

Time For Change

Oh change...everybody's least favorite thing to do. No one really likes it. Some people do but not very many. That means that the majority of you readers will want to turn away from this blog and never look back. Well read it. Read it! READ IT! :) This blog is for help so there will always be change involved.
Have you ever looked at yourself and wondered what you want to change? It may be a physical change or maybe a change of how you treat people. I know of one person who never had to change. He had compassion and love in the beginning till the end. His name is Jesus. We are made in God's image and Jesus is made in God's image so don't you think that just maybe we need to be like Jesus? We go through life acting either the same way or just like the world. There are a few people that try with all they have but they need you to as well. God has called all of us to be a light to this world, to be the salt to the salt less world. Are you giving God everything you got? Are you really? Really think about this. Our lives aren't for us, they are for God to use to get to lost people. If you give Him everything you got then you will be happy I promise. Why you may ask. The reason is if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour then 95% of the time you should be happy because Jesus already took your pain on the cross and said it was finished. Read 1 Corinthians 13. Yes the entire chapter. That chapter in Corinthians is all about love. It's all about your love. Read it! I promise if you read it every day, and I mean read it, then you will see a difference in how you treat people.

It's a change in your life because you will never be the same. Live like Jesus not the world because we are not of this world. This world has nothing for you. God has everything for you.

Make Some Friends!

Friends...they are great to have. Friends make bad situations great. I know that I am bless with great friends in my life that are willing to do anything for me. Do you have friends like that? Do you have friends that encourage you spiritually? Do you have friends that are truly Godly? When we become new in Christ we start to question our "crew" our "people". I know that when I become born again I lost tons of friends. But one thing is true that if you choose the right people to have in your life you will always have someone there for you. Now what you are probably wondering is this, "Well I like my friends I want to impact them should I just leave them?" The answer to that would be no. Don't do that, just don't get involved with what they do that hinders your relationship with GOD. Pray for them a lot too. Don't just leave them to continue their unhappy life. Help them, ask them to go to church, and if they use to go to church encourage them to go. Friends are very important. Till you get married they are there for you always but even why you get married they will still be there.

Choosing Great Friends:
1.Pray...pray always
Nothing can happen if you don't pray. If you pray to GOD to bring you a friends then GOD will bring you a friend just be patient. Also if you are not sure about something just pray. If you listen to and for GOD then you will hear GOD.
2. Read HIS Word
HIS Word is clear on what is foolish and what is not. HE is also very clear about who HE wants you to hang around. Get into the Word and you will hear HIM better.
3. Focus on HIM.
When you put all your focus on GOD you can hear all that HE has for you more clearly.

No Anger Getting The Best of Me!

Don't you just sometimes get mad? I know I do. I get mad all the time and sadly at the most little things. It's bad that I do but I'm still learning. In Proverbs God talks about angry people. They don't seem like they have the best life. I want to have a great life, don't you? It's time to change our anger. It's bad for christian people to be angery....yes it happens because we aren't perfect but we have God. God is love not anger.

WAYS TO OVERCOME ANGER!
1. Pray...pray...pray...pray!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how many times I can talk about prayer...prayer can help you with anything...plain and simple.
2. Start Confessing!
Once you have prayed to God that whatever your problem is is fixed you need to start talking over your life. Speaking over your life.
3. Get into the Word.
Without the Word we would have nothing...we wouldn't even know about God. God placed the Word here to teach us so take it with open arms no matter how much you don't want to do it. If you really want it you will push yourself.

Living Freely

So listen to this...sorry if I step on your toes, but guess what, God promises when you accept the Lord that you are free and suppose to be happy. Meaning you don't have to suffer through life. God actually has called you to live a exciting and amazing life. The reason why God has called you to that is so people can take notice of your life so you can better glorify Him.

LIVING AMAZING AND FREE!
1. Find your talent.
Yes you have a talent. A way to see if it's your talent ask yourself if you like it, if you're good at it, and if others think you're good at it. Now don't get cocky but if you're good...you're good.
2. Pray it out.
Ask God if what you are doing is what He wants. You should only pursue it if it's what He wants.
3. Get in the Word.
If you are getting into the Word you will better understand life and God. The Word is God's way of telling us what to do in certain situations and how to be a better christian.
4. Hear that Word.
You may be reading the Word but are you really understanding it? God put pastors and ministers on this Earth to help you, and if you hear the Word it will be more in your heart. I know church can be scary if you've never been, but people will be friend you...don't be scared.

Show A Little Love

Do you have someone in your life that just ticks you off? They just annoy you and make you mad. I know I do. I have many of them actually but one thing I have found that helps me deal with them is showing love. I don't just show any love, I show God's love. You are probably wondering why it sounds so easy. Well I have my ways and I'm going to share it with you.

WAYS TO SHOW GOD'S LOVE:
1. Make a goal.
When you make a goal to live like God and show His love you start to live and love like God. Of course you will make mistakes, but it will make each and every day easier.
2. Pray it out!
Here I go again...pray pray pray!! Do I need to say more? Pray to Him to help you each and every day to show His love.
3. Read that Bible.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 God talks about love. About what love is and what it isn't. It's good stuff and its not the only time in the Bible that God talks about love. He talks about it many times. Just read about it and pray about it.
4. Put Those Good People In You Life.
When you have loving and kind people in your life you will be a lot more successful with showing His love. Simple bad people=bad, good people=good.

God's love is amazing and if you have never felt His amazing love I hope and pray that you do soon.

Relationships...woooo

Valentine's Day is coming soon so I thought I would talk about relationships. Whether its a relationship with a family member, a bf/gf, or even a best friend it's important to have a strong base between each other. If you have a problem with someone who is really important to you don't hid. Don't just ignore the person and hid behind something or someone. Be up front. If you do that then you will be able to do the simple things I will tell you to do to build your relationship.

WAYS TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS:
1. Communication!!
Talking out problems, talking about what someone wants, or need are things that you need to COMMUNICATE to each other. Also if you want to date someone talk before. Communicate about each other and what you want individually.
2. Read that BIBLE!
God talks about relationships a lot in Proverbs and Psalms so read it up.
3. PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!!!
Before starting a relationship with anyone for anything you need to pray to God about it and seriously ask him if He wants you to be with whoever you want to be with.
4. Live your life for Jesus!
Sometimes you need to think of all relationships oppose to just one to build one up.

A few more thoughts:
1. Don't just grab the first person you see. Just don't do it.
2. If you are doing what God says and you wait patiently then the people God will bring people your way that will change your life forever.

Don't Get Cocky

So today in my life I got a little cocky. I'm not watching myself. That is not good. I'm not remembering the one reason why I'm here and why I have the talent I have. I make the mistake of being cocky and thinking I'm better , it will happen. But if I remember why I'm here I bring myself back to being a humble person of God. God talks in proverbs many times about being humble. He talks about how you don't need to be proud, but we are only human and we get that way. That's why God is always there to help us get though this crazy life.

WAYS TO BE HUMBLE:
1. Think of the reason why you are here.
When you think of the reason why you are here you remember that its not all about you and that comes with being cocky. You know you have a bigger purpose.
2. Don't give yourself compliments.
When you say to yourself "Hey I'm pretty good at that.", you tend to get a swelled head. God talks about all in His word about not being proud. If you are good at something other people will compliment you, you don't have to do it for yourself.
3. Pray.
I always say prayer because that is a vital part about being a christian that succeeds. Prayer is important and you need to do it all day not just once a day.
4. READ HIS WORD./Hear His word.You have to get into his word to understand right from wrong. If it feels wrong, God probably think it's wrong in his word. Go to church or hear messages. The more you hear the word and hear the word the more you will live the Word.
5.Get a friend to keep you accountable.
If you have a good friend. A good godly friend, get them to keep you from being cocky.

We all make mistakes, we all do something wrong. We are not perfect, but we have a God that is. Give any problems to God. He can handle anything.

Just Dealing With It

Life...life sucks for real but the good part is I got Jesus. He makes everything good. With Jesus life is different. You will have your moments where you will want to complain because well you are only human but you are more happy in general. I wish I could put this in your head and you could already experience the great amazing joy that Christ's bring to your life. I know that it is hard to try to do this but with God things are good.

WAYS TO CALM DOWN:
1. Pray
Without prayer nothing is set. Also don't just pray in the morning or at night, practice praying all day everyday. Even a little prayer is powerful.
2. Read your bible
The bible was made as a key to life.
3. CHURCH!
The bible talks about hearing the word over and over again. He wants you to get it your head so you can apply it to your life.

If you do these simple things your life will start to change. You will think differently. I have seen my life start to change because of these simple things. I hope you will start to see the wonderful life with God all in your life. DON'T GET MAD...GET GOD!

Making A Little Difference

So you know what the bible says "love your neighbor as you love yourself." Well I know that can be hard sometimes because sometimes me don't love ourselves. We get down in the dumps and we ignore what God might be telling us, like "Go talk to that person" or "Don't do that." God isn't loud. He is actually most of the time a very quiet God. He amazes me so much because He can be so quiet but make such a loud noise. He makes me differences. But us on the other hand can't makes as big as a difference as He can. That's why He made all of us, not just one of us. He created other so we can be His followers so we can make a difference here while He is up there. In Colossians God Paul said a lot of powerful words but something that struck me was what he wrote in Colossians 2:2 :

"This is what I have asked God for you:that you will be ENCOURAGED and KNIT TOGETHER by the strong ties of LOVE, and that you will have the rich experience of knowing Christ with REAL certainty and CLEAR understanding.For God's secret plan, now at last made known, is Christ Himself."

I know long right? Let's make it simple....Christians need pray to God for encouragement and need to come together by LOVE. (Yeah you need to love other people.:P) Christians also need to have a clear and real understanding of Christ because if you don't understand Him how will you ever be able to tell others...?

We need to work together Christians and make a little difference.

Amazing

What would you do if you found something amazing? Something so amazing that you didn't know what to do. I know that I have found something amazing and I'm always happy and in peace because of it. My something amazing is God. God the amazing creator. I haven't found anything on this Earth as amazing as Him. I remember when I was a kid and I was always unhappy. God wasn't apart of my life because of my decisions. I choose to do things that weren't right. As I got older I realized that the life I was living wasn't right and I wanted something more from life than what I was getting. So I started to grow with God and I'm where I am now. I'm still learning and I still struggle with temptation but I've never felt this close to God. I love my amazing God and I put Him before everything else.

"And He is before all things and in Him all things consist"
Colossians 1:17

Have you ever wondered if you could get through something? Something that is really hard in your mind? I know I have many times. I wonder some times if I will be able to get through somethings in this life. I know that I have an amazing God though that has my hand. He holds me even when I feel like I'm alone in this world. Put all your trust in God. He's always there, even when you think He's not. You can get though anything with Him all in your life.

What would we do if we knew we were going to die? If you knew the moment...the second...how you were going to die what would you do? I find it funny that most people change everything about them in one week when people for years have asked them to change. My challenge to you is to live every day as if you were dying. I know you have heard that probably before and wondering why a 15 year-old girl is telling you this. I tell you this because if you don't listen the first time you may listen the second time. Life would be a lot more fun if you lived like you are dying.
